Besides coming to Rocky Point for some of the best fishing anywhere, come for the FUN. There are many activities taking place thru out the year .....like Sailboat racing. Rocky Point is a short 4 hour drive south of Phoenix, AZ where sand meets sea, the beautiful Sea of Cortez that is. This race was held in October 2012 in front of the Playa Bonita Resort/RV park. I counted 32 boats of different sizes and makes. It was so much fun, take a look at the folks in the ocean swimming while the race was getting started.. No other way to spend a lazy Saturday afternoon than sitting on a sandy beach, soaking in the rays and enjoying the race. There are many 1st class accommodations here in Rocky Point, great food and friendly people. Bring yourself, your friends, and your family for memories that will last a lifetime.
