Rocky Point fishing Apr 2013

Rocky Point, Sonora, Mx offers some of the best deep sea fishing anywhere.  The best thing is Rocky Point, as referred to by many, is a 4 hr. drive from Phoenix or Tucson, AZ.   With the new coastal highway, which follows the coastline out of El Golfo, Sonora, Mx, it's a short drive from many cities in CA as well.  Here are some recent spring break photos of fishermen who reeled in these big sea bass, total catch 20 fish.  The boat hit on them as soon as they arrived out to the 22 mile reef south off the shores of Rocky Point.  It was just another great day of fishing  for Capt. Pancho at the helm of the boat Caballo del Mar.  Grouper fish, Pinto, Calico and spotted Sea Bass are just a few of other species caught on any given day.   Come down to this friendly seaside community and see for your self.  I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Family Fun Fish Rocky Point, Sonora, Mex

Fun for the whole family regardless of age or fishing skills.  The Sea of Cortez presents ideal conditions for fish to follow and migrate year after year.  During December, with cooler water, there is an abundant amount of fish out there a short 10 miles off shore.  A variety of fish are attracted to this specific area known as Rocky Point, Sonora, Mex.  Some of those reasons are  good weather, calm, protected seas and many crevices (reefs) just a short distance off shore.  And lets don't forget sunny, warm days.  Fish like Cochi, Calico and Rock Bass, to name a few, are real fighters making them fun to catch.  A day of fishing is a great way to spend the holidays.
